Room/Hall Hire

Kings Road United Reformed Church has a range of spaces available to hire in the heart of Westcliff-on-Sea and all of the ground floor spaces are fully wheelchair accessible.

The Sanctuary

The beautiful Sanctuary is our main worship area. As well as Worship, Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals, this space is also suitable for concerts, recitals, exhibitions, lectures, film nights, film shoots, etc. as well as weekly classes.

There is seating for 150 on the ground floor with additional seating in the galleries for 94.

The main organ and piano are also available to use at an additional charge.

The church is a popular venue for concerts and recitals throughout the year ranging from orchestras, choirs, concert bands and jazz. For further details about forthcoming concerts and performances please find out more here.

Church Halls

We have two larger spaces for hire for children’s parties, quiz nights, charity fundraising events, rehearsals, workshops and weekly classes etc.

The largest hall is The Crowstone Hall which is a beautiful bright and airy space with a high ceiling. This is located upstairs (Accessible by stairs only). Seating capacity is 100 maximum. This room can also be used for a range of sports. £22.00 per hour.

The Westcliff hall seats 70 and is located on the ground floor with flat floor access from the main entrance through to the hall. £22.00 per hour.

The Belden Room

The Belden room is a separate smaller room downstairs which can be booked for meetings, classes, talks or as an extra space along with hire of the Sanctuary as it has direct access. This room holds 40 seated maximum. £20 per hour.

The Palmer Room

The Palmer room is our smallest room and is suitable for meetings, talks, small classes or counselling sessions etc. This holds 20 seated maximum in theatre style. £18.50 per hour.

The Meeting Place

This is a lovely communal space with tabled and chairs and a wonderful servery area which includes kettles, a sink with drinking water, a fridge and crockery. Amy hirers are free to use this space but it can also be hired for sole use on quieter days. £21 per hour.


A fully equipped kitchen is available. This must be booked separately and a Food Hygiene Certificate must be held with certification shown on booking. £30 per hour.
